I'm not Christian, but I do agree with you. If I were Christian I surely would read the Book of Mormon. Who's to say if it's true or not, certainly not people who don't care enough to read it.
References :
I agree, we should not "bash" Mormons however, we should not lie to pacify or be politically correct either.

There isn't any other testimony, no other prophets of Christ after the book of revelations. Not, Muhammad and his Qur'an, not Jospeh Smith and his book of Mormon or the other books he came up with to suite his purpose.

God doesn't have a wife, the most exalted Mormons are not going to become god-like in heaven and the trinity is ONE entity (no wonder some of these other cultures in the world believe that Christians are polytheistic instead of monotheistic, it is because of you guys!).

However, you are right about spiritual discernment, the Holy Spirit does give guidance in that aspect.

Problem is it seems Mormons are listening to a different spirit than the Holy Spirit or they wouldn't pervert God's word.

Joseph Smith was NOT a prophet, and neither was his successor.

For you information, the history of the Mormon Church was very racist and now you're having a hard time living it down.
References :
I'm a Mormon and I'm shocked at these answers... Many of them tell us how I supposedly believe.

We don't believe we are saved by works. We are saved by the grace and atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ.. At the same time though, faith without works is dead. Can you really look the savior in the face and say, I've accepted you as my redeemer, if you won't even follow His commandments?

What makes so many people think God can't or won't bring His gospel in fullness back to the earth? Look at all the confusion between Christian sects...Do you think God is the author of such strife?

What happened to 'by their fruits ye shall judge them'.
The Church of Jesus Christ on the whole, not as individuals, produces more Christians who are family oriented, honest and true to their faith than any other faith.

I bear my testimony, that I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is God's church, restored through and unbroken line of priesthood authority. It teaches the Saviors gospel in fullness. I testify that Joseph Smith was and is a Prophet of God and he really did see Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ.
I also testify that you don't need to take my word alone. Heavenly Father will let you know the truth of all things through the Holy Spirit, if you will pray with real intent. Ask in faith, though careful study. I say these things in and through my Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ amen.
References :
Unfortunately, that's the problem. You're seeking doctrine and rules for an answer - and the only way to Jesus is through grace. You are not defined by what you do - but by who you are. The biggest issue with Mormon beliefs is that you get to heaven by works.

While God does give us a standard to live by - he clearly states that in the end what saves us is believing in Him. Accepting your inheritance - which He gives unconditionally if we were to just accept it.

Our nature says that's too simple - we always feel that we have to work for whatever we get. Your book and the Bible are in heavy contradiction. I sin every day. I have bad thoughts and I feel selfish - but I know that I am not defined by this. My ultimate inheritance is in Jesus Christ - and only by that am I saved. And I don't need a library of books and multiple interpretations to tell me that. I only need one Book.
References :
I have already checked out the Book of Mormon and researched it's claims. The things it teaches are so radically different from Traditional Judaism and Christianity, that it CANNOT be considered "just another interpretation". The polytheism of Mormonism and the monotheism of Christianity/Judaism are in conflict: they both cannot be true at the same time.

One has to be false!

It is not "against the Holy Spirit", as some would claim, to use a logical analysis of differing scriptures.God gave us the ability to reason, for a reason! "Come, let us reason together" He says in Isaiah. Why shouldn't we do just that?
References :
The LDS church is not a cult!!! Anyone who believes in Christ should be called a Christian. Why cant we all just accept one another?
References :
I believe the apostle Paul warned in Galations about preaching a different gospel and a different Jesus and said even if an angel from heaven had a different gospel, even is named Moroni one would assume, they would be Biblically accursed?
References :
"Testament" does not mean "testimony." A testament is a will. When the testator dies, only one will can be put into effect; all others are declared null and void.
No, I don't think we should seek all doctrines. Paul wrote that if any man, or an angel from heaven. preach any other gospel, let him be accursed. It doesn't matter to me if Joseph Smith did see an angel (although I really don't believe he did), what was already written is sufficient for me.
