rob213m:lol.i did studied more and i was wrong tithing is not for the church,i have alot of scripture that i gather.i was deceived by this false teaching of tithing.i stop tithing 2 weeks ago.i praise the LORD i am set free from that false teaching.i know that in the old testament tithes was’nt never money,but seeds,fruit and produces of the land.i give according to 2 corinthian 8& 9 chapter and acts 4 chapter.i been giving more since i stop tithing and i feel good.GOD BLESS

All i have to say to anyone sucker who thinks they have to tithe or preachers who make them feel bad for not tithing…..is do more studying on your own and do not listen to these thieves. read mark 6:8. what did christ tell his disciples to do. he didnt say go preach the word and built churches and collect money. THE WORD OF THE MOST HIGH……IS FREEEEE!!!!! WAKE UP PPL. STOP FUNDING THESE PIMPS. THEY ARE DEVILS. Tell ur preacher u will give 10% when u see him put in his 10%. ha ha ha ha.

To give to Yah is …
To give to Yah is to give him praise and to do his will by keeping his laws and commandments. Its not giving him money. No where does it say give him money. Tithing was for the levitical priest. Where does it say to give to pastors for light bills. christ told his disciples to take nothing with them to preach the word. mark 6:8. it doesnt cost money to learn the word. they are wolves in sheeps clothing. do more studying. u want to give, then give to the poor. that is fine to do.

tithing at that …
tithing at that time was given to the levitical priest and it was NOT 10% of money that was being given. Ppl twist that scripture so these pulpit pimps can get rich off of ppl. when it says, to give Yah his tributes that means to do his will. Keep his laws and commandments. Its not talking about giving him money. matthews 17:24-27 has nothing to do with tithing. matthew 22:15-22 was talking about taxes. nothing to do with tithing. do more studying.

You are right and the thing is ppl dont understand is that tithing back then was NOT 10% of money. Some of these pulpit pimps are just wolves in sheeps clothing to ask ppl to give and make them think they will get back money. Ppl are such suckers because they dont know how to read on their own.

The beautiful thing …
The beautiful thing about tithing is that once you have turned your life over to God and you are sanctified God gives you the GIFT of giving and sometimes the spirit may lead you to give clothes to the lady on the street. It is not always money and not always giving to a church. You could be lead to give a house to a homeless person. My sister gave away everything she owed-then God blessed her with a paid for house and car. so we must stop defining tithe as money because your 1st tithe is you.

I am not sure about …
I am not sure about charities, that means that person can be acknowledged by other people, a fame situation. Plus they do it for tax exemptions, and that is wrong to do.
Also what charity is good? Probably 90% of them are corrupt and never give to the poor.
I am not from a big city, but I am sure there people on the streets who know someone who can really use help.
Never give to salvation army or good will, they sell the stuff, they are bad places, they don’t give to help, they sell for profit.

people need to stop …
people need to stop building hundred thousand dollar rich man churches and then they would not need to beg for tithes.
it boils down to love for money and not following what Jesus said to do, which is to give freely to the poor and not have a big fat bank account.
If a man gains the world and loses his soul, where is the gain?
in case you say, give and God will give double, like most preachers like to say, I want you to show where it is in the Bible.

You should give to …
You should give to the people of God because God has put it on your heart. I have no problem with people who give with this motive, but don’t give a tithe thinking God will open up the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing. That scripture is TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT TO KEEP YOUR CASH COMING and COMPEL YOU TO GIVE. Don’t fall for it saints!

Mandating a tithe …
Mandating a tithe for new testament believers is NOT BIBLICAL. Tithing was instituted for the Old Testament Israel to support the Levitical Priesthood. The storehouse is NOT your local church! God was speaking to “Oh descendants of Jacob” in Malachi 3 NOT TO NT BELIEVERS!

Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
Read 2 Cor 8 and read about the REAL MOTIVES to give to the people of God

Tithes were only …
Tithes were only for ancient Israelites.
And one of the purposes of the tithe
was to have a BIG party once a year
with gluttony and booze!
Deuteronomy 14:26
And thou shalt bestow that money
for whatsoever thy soul LUSTETH after,
for oxen, or for sheep,
or for WINE, or for STRONG DRINK,
or for whatsoever thy soul desireth:

Its not giving to god, its giving to men. if you like tithing give to the poor, or a charity for the poor. your tithing will be better spent there.

And i’ve seen 2many people get a no tithe revelation and almost lose it all afterward wondering what happened.when what happened is you prospreed got greedy didn’t support Gods ministry finacially.They suffered loss because of there greed.

Wow this is amazing.there is no excuse for not tithing.God says give and I’ll give it back to you.Ten percent doesn’t compare to the saints giving all there money in the book of acts and we complain about giving a tenth.I’m one of the lest materialistic people you will ever meet, now that I’m o n the finance comittee i see the need for tithing its not to lace the pastorspocket it’s so that there may be meet in the lords house.how can you do outreach pay for light bills if everyone just given ..

Yeah….that sounds …
Yeah….that sounds like a church I used to go to here in San Antonio. It’s called Cornerstone, and the pastor is John Hagee. He always makes people to hold up their money in church before the collection plate is passed. And you have to become a tither before you can serve in the church. Rick Warren’s church in California has strict rules about becoming a member and tithing is one of them. This guy is making millions off of his books, and rubbing shoulders with politicians.
