Christians: If you don’t go to church and fellowship with other Christians…?

March 62010

how are you connected to the head (which is Jesus Christ) if you are not in the body (which is the church – other believers)?

How are you doing your part of edifying the body and bearing fruit?

Jesus said where two or more are gathered, he is there also. It is important for believers to glorify God by coming together in one accord. Yet, the question remains, how many. Jesus said two or more. So I believe from two to what ever number is considered church.

Yet, it is important to understand that God has established an order on what and how things are to occur in the church. This is done with one being the head, which is Christ, and then those assigned by the Lord to watch over his flock, feeding and protecting them through Christ. This is done in most cases, not just by two, but yet could be.

The ‘fellowship’ in question is supposed to be with Jesus himself, and it does not require a ‘church building’ or organization, but to answer your question, I interact with with other Christians in everyday life, on this website as an example. Thanks for asking neighbor.

I am a Christian and I know that "TODAY" the Church has become an "INSTITUTION" rather than a guiding light, Church jumble sales, rock music, dancing, and fixing the Church organ at a staggering £40,000 is hardly considered Christian when there are hungry and homeless people.
The Bible says we are "JUSTIFIED" (SAVED) through faith, NOT THROUGH CHURCH GATHERINGS as "Sunday-Morning-Christians-Do-As-I-Please-On-Monday Christians would have you believe.

How very true, a person couldn’t POSSIBLY have faith unless they attended church. It’s impossible to practice religion in the comfort and privacy of your own home. Shame on those heathens for not Practicing their religion in the the manner they are told in the building they are told with the people they are told.

I would like to see how other Christians, who think attending a church building once a week is necessary to be a Christian, would handle being in my position. I have no transportation, and have only recently began making friends again (we’ve been living here too long; most of our friends are gone). There are five English-speaking churches in the area: Two Baptist, one LDS, one general Protestant church (led by a chaplain), and one Catholic church.

I tried both Baptist churches, didn’t feel welcome at either one. LDS is out of the question; I am not Mormon, and I have no intention of becoming one. The Protestant and Catholic church are too far away to walk to, and taking a taxi back and forth would cost nearly $120 a month. Further, taxis aren’t always reliable anyway; half the time they either don’t show up, or they show up an hour after I call.

Instead, I fellowship with Christians on a daily basis (both here and elsewhere), read my Bible, pray, and occasionally watch online services. I’d like to see if anyone who wants to be critical of my situation could do any better.

You cannot, the way you are towards those that love God shows you and others how you are towards God.

you dont always have to go to church, you can go to Bible study, interact and converse with other christians, who come into your path, or show the love of God towards your fellowman in daily life.

    Dear friend LightScr,
By obeying the Holy Word of God as we have it today bound in the form of a book in English and various languages around the world -
to pray in secret to the Holy Eternal Creator God our Heavenly Father -
along with our parents when we are children,
and then as we mature in age by entering into a married family relationship with our spouse the life partner bearing blessed children within the home or place of residence according to the rules of the human society.

When we get time we should join as a social community with other family members as a group to worship and praise our Resurrected Lord and Living Saviour Jesus Christ for the glory of the Heavenly Father being guided by the Holy Spirit of God.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
