Ive had "people" following me around in vehicles, monitering me through "wall cameras", watching me through the television set (i could hear the monitering tone that plays when theyd listen it ruined two of my flatscreens). Theyd yell & scream for hours through numerous audio devices (ie:radio, computer music,tv,cellphone conversations) when id ignore them. They do these things to tweakers and prostitutes & its sad that i know their tactics like the back of my hand. Its used to stage some sort of schitzophrenia & paranoia in the victim with an entire state helping out (routing buisness calls to fake numbers, replacing employees with actors "comedians". reseting alarms & clocks in ones living courters with that universal transmitter). Theyd unplugg my internet everytime id research any sort of topics relating to what I was experiencing. Describing my situation as some sort of "listening to a brain think" schitzophrenic spasm is a joke and a mockery of the diseases true existance. Ive been tackled twice by police and injected with some sort of hallucinagen & just left outside, this is insane. Ive had my apt gased multiple times when trying to sleep & called poison control (they sent actors to my rescue). Theyd rob me frequently when theyd gas my apt while I slept. They pulled me over and seized my vehicle without explanation and gave no info on how to recover it then suspended my license after dumping my car in tucson arizona. Watching me on cameras in neighbors apts to feed into the paranoia & support their goal of producing schitzophrenic behavior for some reason kept being used against me. Ive been to the military and recall an actual laser transmitter that once aimed at the body not only stirs chemicals in your brain can also burn up fecal matter in the intestines aswell as constrict the lining of stomache. This was used on me also. How was this made possible in my life & what singles an individual out for this sort of experiment? Alot of the things ive described are kept non existant to mainstream society yet used by the military and other law enforcement officials (or informants for them lol) on a regular basis. Things got worse when they threatened me to leave the state of arizona after I filed a complaint with the EEOC for discrimination (its the only thing i could think of). I was immediately arrested & then taken to several very "strange"dark jail facilities (some sort of hell mockup full of actors & actresses) . I was forced to record my voice for one of their "end of times" movies & kept for about 8mths under a faulty rule 11. They honestly wrecked my life & filmed a religous "movie" during it in which Im not a "paid participant" but a victim of an abuse of power. The film supported a local church called the potters house & its belief in "hell’s" where abouts (beneath the oceans floor/a jailsystem with mehanical demons etc..) Ive heard nothing from any government officials as to what i am to them. Was this just another run in with some sort of illuminati/armory scare tactic or is the country truelly not sure as to how to explain the stuation to me? Sounds like a bunch of people (civilians & law enforcement) playing with cia/mafia/spy equipment in hopes to get someone to commit suicide or begin to feed into more "end of times" garbage.
Ive not read that book "behold a pale horse" nor have i done any research on the lapinal membrane and its functionality. I find this all too disturbing to be reality. Id prefer to be executed rather than run around in circles begging for a single bit of information that validates my experience. My life has been ruined with all their felonies & money they keep deducting and charging me consistantly for all of the turmoil theyve put me through my entire life. Too blatant to be a joke, Can you help or should I assume my face is what provoked this sort of treatment in america? Perhaps a new "body" could substitute any sort of a "witness protection program" (im no idiot). Can I aim a telescope at the sky without being arrested or enroll in a legitimate criminal investigator school (not my field of interest but seems a requirment in order to not be harassed here in america)without aggrevating anymore law officials or fom the "sky"?

Tongues should be used, in an orderloy way, as a sign to un-believers.

2 or 3 people should speak out a "gift of tongues", each followed by an interpretation.

See 1 Corinthians 14 for details

Shouting is only needed if the hall is very big and the speakers doesn’t have amplification.

Sounds like the baptist place is dead – leave!

I am apart of the ceaseless rhythem of nature, which flows through me as through everything. To speak of me is only to speak of this rhythem. I have faith but its no the christian faith. I do love the christian fellowship, its addictive. So fun, full of energy and love. There aren’t any buddhist temples around here so ive never been able to experience gatherings of ppl who think like me so i use the christian fellowship. My best friend is a christian and i go with her to church events 3 days a week. I take notes, admiring the way the pastor presents the words of the bible with the message hes giving, and i talk to great people. Is there anyone else out there whos like this or knows anyone like this? What are your thoughts? Yours truly, a 20 year old kid from the states.
I havent been on yahoo answer in a while, a couple good answers so far, thanks.

Jesus is God, and Jesus loves you so very much! And the Trinity is true! Jesus is the Messiah!

The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to hell, is by believing in JESUS for His free gift of eternal life in heaven, believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died on the cross for all our sins as FULL PAYMENT for all our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe in Jesus for His free gift of salvation, and you will be in heaven, no matter what! John 3:16, John 6:47!

Salvation is a FREE GIFT that happens in a split second when you believe in JESUS for His free gift of salvation! It is impossible to lose or "leave" salvation (John 6:39-40, John 10:28, 1 John 5:13).

Please pray now: "Jesus, I believe that You died on the cross to pay for my sins and that You rose from the dead, and I thank You for eternal life!" You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die!

Best Answer taken from AVOIDING CULT SPIRITUALITY by Rev. McLennan, Dean for Religious Life, Stanford

"[Because it is] concerned about Christian cults and dangerous religious practices…one large evangelical "para-church"
organization, the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, which is
active at Stanford, has created a national code of ethics on
proselytizing to prevent abuses.
Here’s some of what it says: "We respect the individual
integrity, intellectual honesty, and academic freedom of other
believers and skeptics." The code affirms "the inalienable right
of every person to survey other options and to convert to or
choose a different belief system." Disavowed is "the use of any
coercive technique or manipulative appeals which bypass a person’s
critical faculties, play on psychological weaknesses or mask the
true nature of Christian conversion." There will be "no false
advertising" and "no overly emotional appeals which minimize
reason and evidence." InterVarsity will always "reveal our own
identity and purpose, our theological position and sources of
information, and will not be intentionally misleading." Wanting
to relate to people of other religions, it will also "divest our
witness of any stereotypes or fixed formulas which are barriers to
true dialog."
So, in conclusion, I believe that today’s gospel lesson from
Matthew teaches that one’s commitment to Christ can realistically
bring criticism, sometimes even rising to persecution, from those
who are near and dear. Yet, the warning signs of dangerous and
manipulative religious practices still remain: deception,
enforced separation from old friends and family, a total
environment occupying all of one’s time, rigid hierarchical
control, and prohibition of doubt and intellectual inquiry. May
each of us have rich spiritual lives that set us free to be fully
ourselves. AMEN."
http://www.stanford.edu/group/religiouslife/docs/sermons/2002/sermon_07-07-2002_McLennan.pdf
The reverand is an unbiased authority on this which is why I chose what he wrote. He is the Dean of Religious Life at Stanford University. I agree that it would make no sense if I had quoted someone employed by InterVarsity. InterVarsity is a nationwide Christian Student group. (There are adult regional and national support staff, but they are not employed by universities.)

His talk that I linked to at Stanford is about how to avoid becoming part of a cult. Not only did he not think InterVarsity was a cult, but he even quoted them to show ways that they recommend to avoid cults. Most pastors in countless Christian denominations as well as religious professors at numerous institutions use InterVarsity Press books because they are well-respected for their scholarly approach to religious studies.

Someone earlier had asked about the organization because they were unfamiliar with it. While it is always possible that certain members of any organization can behave in cult-like ways an
… and we have to be very careful of that, I wanted to reassure the original poster that this organization is not one. Cults encourage you to believe their specific way of doing things is the only way and the rest are all wrong. InterVarsity encourages its students to participate in all different types of churches as long is they base their teachings on the Bible. Adult staff workers I know have been Lutheran, Mennonite, Baptist, Presbyterian, and on and on. While they are definitely a Christian group, they encourage cooperation and respectful dialogue with people of all faiths and those who don’t hold to a particular faith. (I wish there were an InterVarsity for adults! I miss the honest discussions!)

One thing that I found interesting in one of their books about cults was that InterVarsity encourages you to evaluate whatever group you are in (including your local InterVarsity chapter!) and be sure that it isn’t exhibiting cult-like tendencies. You shouldn’t be isolating your
… self from old friends or family or spending all your time and energy on IV things. There isn’t just one right way to do everything. God is a God of grace, and as young, enthusiastic leaders and members it can be easy to fall into unhealthy patterns. InterVarsity isn’t supposed to be about that. It’s supposed to be learning more about God’s forgiveness, love and plan for our lives.

I can see how my original post looked like it was IV stating that it wasn’t a cult, but I was actually quoting an expert outside of IV who held them up as a positive example of a religious organization striving to be as healthy and non-like as possible.

I hope this clarifies things!
The International Cultic Studies Association is a global network of people concerned about psychological manipulation and abuse in cultic groups, alternative movements, and other environments. ICSA is tax-exempt, supports civil liberties, and is not affiliated with any religious or commercial organizations. www.icsahome.com

As a further evidence for InterVarsity not being a cult, Dr. Michael Langone, International Cultic Studies Association Today’s Editor-in-Chief, chose Inter-Varsity as the mainstream non-cult student group contrast for his study on psychological abusiveness of another group he was investigating. http://icsahome.com/infoserv_respond/by_studyguide.asp?Subject=BCC%2FICC%3A+Study+Reveals+Cultic+Group’s+Abuses

Lol, did you just quote their own testimony? Of course they’re going to say that. That’s like quoting Hubbard’s Dianetics to prove that Scientology is valid. I’m not saying this fellowship is a cult because I know nothing about them, but the fact that they say they aren’t doesn’t mean they don’t have cult-esque attributes. I’d prefer that you had quoted an unbiased criticism of the group, instead of a Stanford Reverend’s analysis.

Lets try this again. I am looking for a Christian based, Bible based home church or bible study fellowship that does not teach tithing, does not have a building fund and is not run by one pastors. Nor is this fellowship politically based and it must be in the St. Louis Missouri metro area. Can anybody help?

Hey! Don’t get bummed out by the responses to your commment about "does not teach tithing, does not have a building fund….". I am guessing that you may be reacting to churches that seem to care more about fund raising that "doing the Gospel". For example, in the church that I attend salaries make up 55% of the budget, followed by maintaince and utilities 25%, followed by Denominational askings 12%. This leaves only about 8% of the overall budget of the congregation to "feed the hungry" and "take the Good News" outside the church building’s walls. Seems to be a weak example of Jesus’ sacrifice of his life for the blessing of others. Smacks of institutional self-interest to me. It can be dis-heartening. I know!

If you can’t find a home church or fellowship, why don’t you start one? Put an ad in the personal section of your newspaper or on Craigslist. If I were to outline the activities that every home church/fellowship ought to be engaged in, it would include in some form: 1-Worship, 2-Prayer, 3-Discipleship, 4-Fellowship, 5-Service. Some of these activites have costs associated with them, but can certainly be done more economically that in a brick and mortar church. Your giving will have more "bang for the buck" when it comes to doing what Jesus taught the disciples. BTW, Jesus is only quoted using the word "tithe" in connection with the corrupted practices of the temple and the Pharisees.

JMHO…..

the best,

Speaking from experience, from the denomination I was in, only.

First it depends on why. If this church is the denomination I was in, the person in question , according to doctrine is to be talked to by one person. If that does not achieve the goal, then two people. Then three, then before the church. That is for an offense. I believe it is so if they have done something to another member which they feel should be brought before the church. If it is something which has offended the church as a whole, they go to the person
and question, or discuss and give them a chance to say their part. If he is still attending by this time, and he does not want to apologize to the church, or make an apology,n or change something, the issue is put before the church. Sometimes they have meetings
or trials? if it involves other members within that denomination of other churches. . It is orderly.
It is very open. Everything is duly recorded. This is a part of their doctrine. If someone does not like it, they can leave. It is about maintaining the appearance of Godliness before the community, and adhering to their beliefs. I see nothing wrong with it. I think it should be merciful. Regarding children, everyone
who attends church, takes their children and submits their children to the doctrines. There are always things children do not like. This discipline was usually a serious matter before things went this far, unless someone was wanting to make an issue or quarrel about something.

If a matter of non attendance. after so long a time they were contacted or sent a letter. If they wanted to remain on the church membership rolls they contacted the church, or simply attended church. If not, the church voted in a regular business meeting to withdraw church fellowship from the person as a member.
It did not mean they rejected the person as a Christian, or persecuted them.
The church had a covenant, this was made known when someone joined the church by being fellowshipped in after baptism, or by receiving a letter from the church which they were a member of before, or by statement of baptism by a church of like order and belief.

A statement is made in the business records or the church minutes of the meeting, that the action was completed. Letters are sent to the people involved. I received a letter that I had been excluded from church for non
attendance. No one asked us why we quit going. I had a lot to say although I did not "get" or understand all that went on, or why. I also was innocent of about 97% of the things attributed to me, but not discussed to cause us to leave church. I loved my church. I tried to talk to them. I was innocent
of the first premise. I was innocent, period. No one came to me and asked myside of anything, ever, at any time. Never.. Wanted me out. Hurt me deeply. The next time, I withdrew fellowship from them. Asked to be removed. This is not all the churches in the denomination, a few, a group. I do not go to church any more. No one, in these groups, ever asked my side of anything.Assumed.
Always believed other people before me.
This is doctrine. People can accept this or go to another church which they find more acceptable.

Does anyone have anything to add to this, or comments. This is the local visible church, not the universal church. The way it was when I was young.

Churches today rarely exclude anyone. With church attendance so low they are normally glad to have a new member. If you are having trouble at your church then go to another church. It may be the individual church, or it may be the denomination. What ever the case you can just find another church. Hey, they were making churches when you found this one.

Uriah Heep Easy Livin’ Lyrics

This is a thing I’ve never known before, it’s called easy living.
This is a place I’ve never seen before, and I’ve been forgiven.
Easy living, and I’ve been forgiven,
since you’ve taken your place in my heart.

Somewhere along the lonely road I had tried to find you.
Day after day on that windy road I had walked behind you.
Easy living, and I’ve been forgiven,
since you’ve taken your place in my heart.

Waiting, watching, wishing my hard life away.
Dreaming, fainting, ready for love every day
and some easy living.

Somewhere along the lonely road I had tried to find you.
Day after day on that windy road I had walked, walked behind you.
Easy living, and I’ve been forgiven,
since you’ve taken your place in my heart.

Easy living, and I’ve been forgiven,
since you’ve taken your place in my heart.

Okay, another "what-if" question.

You wake up to find yourself in a remote area so far away from civilization that you don’t even know what direction to walk in to find anybody.
Someone has left you all the essentials of life in a little cabin, food, clothing, nearby water, but no Bible, no television, no radio, no cell phone, no books, no computer.

All you have is a string of prayer beads and all the time in the world.

Do you start praying, counting the beads, and attempt to get closer to God?

Actually, we are already kidnapped and imprisoned by our own minds and petty awareness. But most of us want to be imprisoned in our own familiar spaces rather than be imprisoned by others, unwillingly. The truth is, if God were to imprison us in Heaven we would try to escape. Only when we realize within our own selves/being that that is where we really want to be and we go there of our own choice does Heaven reveal Her treasures of Peace, Joy, Contentment and Fullness of Being. Till we realize it for ourselves it is no more than a burden to our ego/mind/self.

I have always sought out this scenario in my life and even now I am on my way to this prison of aloneness and isolation again, with joy.
