The most fundamental of all Christian beliefs is that Christ is the Son of God, and that He died for our sins, was buried, and rose from the dead on the third day thereafter. The second most basic belief is that Jesus was born of a virgin. These beliefs are shared by all people who call themselves "Christian". All other creeds, doctrines, etc. are man made.
References :
Christ established one Church only, his Church, the Body of Christ when he gave Peter the keys of his Church and made him Shepherd of the whole "flock". Originally, all Christians belonged to Christ's Church. However, from its very beginnings there arose certain rifts, which the Apostles strongly censured as damnable. But during the 16th century, much more serious dissensions appeared and large communities became separated from Full communion with Christ's Church. The ruptures that wound the unity of Christ's Body - here we must distinguish heresy, apostasy, and schism,- do not occur without human sin.

Christian: A name derived from that of Christ himself. The name refers to all those who have been anointed through the gift of the Holy Spirit in Baptism; hence, the followers of Christ, the members of the Christian Church.
References :
Your question exactly defines my problem with organized religion. And that's why I stay away.

There is no doubt in my mind that God would much prefer us to:

Find our commonalities rather than our differences
Work toward uniting rather than dividing
Put our energies into helping one another instead of into separating
Make Him and His work more important than our religiosity
References :
Most of those groups don't teach the simplicity of the Gospel. They don't teach GRACE.

So forget groups' teachings, and instead, look to the Bible. The truth is that Jesus is God, and Jesus loves you so very much! :D

The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to eternal hell, is by believing in Jesus for salvation, believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died on the cross for all our sins as FULL PAYMENT for all our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe in Jesus alone for salvation, and you will be in heaven, no matter what!

Salvation is a FREE GIFT that happens in a split second when you believe in Jesus alone to save you! It is impossible to lose or "leave" salvation (John 6:39-40, John 10:28, 1 John 5:13).

Please pray now: "Jesus, I believe that You died on the cross to pay for my sins and that You rose from the dead, and I thank You for eternal life!" You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die! :D
References :
Jesus = Gd or son of Gd as part of the Trinity.

That's pretty much it.
